As a British Horse Society Accredited Professional Coach, I offer a range of personalised coaching services designed to meet your individual needs and help you achieve your riding goals. From foundational skills to advanced riding techniques, I am here to support your journey.
Confidence Building Sessions
These sessions are tailored for riders who want to overcome anxieties and build a stronger, more trusting and understanding relationship with their horse.
I focus on developing a secure seat, effective communication, and a calm approach to riding.
Technical Skill Development
Coaching up to British Dressage Elementary Level.
By progressing through the Scales of Training and making your riding more effective, we can improve your horse's way of going to increase your dressage scores.
Showjumping training up to British Novice.
Develop your understanding of the 5 phases of jumping. Learn what is your job and what is your horse's job. Improve your jumping position and ability to ride a course of show jumps
Cross-Country Coaching up to BE90
Learn the basic principles of cross-country riding. Learn the techniques of negotiating skinnies, water jumps, corners, off-set doubles and other typical xc fences.
Rider Analysis and EQBands
Using the Ridesum App, I can provide you with a clear analysis of your riding position and effectiveness. You will receive on and off horse exercises to help improve your riding posture and help address balance issues and asymmetries.
The EQ BANDS provide resistance to help strengthen your core, legs and back. Although the aim is to be able to ride competently without them, they help improve rider balance, lower leg and hand position, as well as developing physical self-awareness.
My Qualifications
B.Ed (Hons) in Primary Education. I spent 20+ years teaching in Sunderland, Carlisle and Kendal.

As a BHS Accredited Professional Coach I'm fully insured, DBS Checked and have up to date First Aid and Safeguarding Certificates.
